Created in 1999, in the wake of the war in Kosovo, this programme brought together women activists from former Yugoslavia and Albania, sharing common values in terms of the need to democratise their societies, to struggle against nationalism and social partitioning, and to establish sustainable peace in the region
(The Royaumont Declaration).
On the basis of the urgencies they defined
(The Mavrovo Declaration), these women have undertaken joint action transgressing borders.
